Barb, you have it right, Heidi is a cross between a golden retriever and a 
Labrador retriever.  She looks more like a black lab.
Don, the guide dog school where Heidi came from is using lots of labradoodles 
these days.  They get upset with terms likeLabradoodle and Goldador, prefering 
terms like a labrador and poodle mix.  There is an 
Australian labradoodle which is actually several different breeds combined.  
However, the guide dog schools I know of, and many Americans, will breed poodle 
to lab.  It was brought to my attention that they were created in Australia as 
a non-shedding guide dog, but that none of the schools are using them over 
there any more.  I wonder why....anyone have info?
