Have you considered contacting a rescue organization? I always worry when I see someone giving away "free" dogs, because they sometimes tend to end up in homes that may not be as commited to caring for them as opposed to a family that has invested in their commitment. In addition, there are people out there who look for free dogs and then turn around and sell them to labs that do cruel testing on animals.
