I am a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant in Madison, WI
I have a client with a 17 week old labradoodle who is too much for them as he
is an item
resource guarder (wood chips, rawhides, toilet paper) and has bitten them a
number of
times.
He is incredibly intelligent and the guarding is his only issue. Resource
guarding is one of
the more solvable issues, especially in a young dog, but neither Lab rescue nor
Poodle
rescue will take the mix. He has enough potential to be rehabilitated that I
don't feel
euthanization is the best outcome.
I'm asking you folks, the labradoodle lovers.....can someone help Buster? If
there is no
rescue for this breed available he will almost certainly be euthanized as he
has a bite
history and as such the shelters will not take him.

I appreciate any help anyone is able to offer.
Thank you.
