Hi all!

I've just added a second Labradoodle to our household. My old lady,
Amy, is 11, and an "accidoodle" -- she was meant to be a standard
poodle but a rogue Lab got over the fence one night ;) She's my dear
sweet girl, but getting rather sedentary and creaky in her old age.

Three weeks ago we added Kay, a two-year-old Doodle whose people
couldn't keep her after a divorce. Kay's full of beans (she was kept
crated for 12-14 hours a day) and needs some work on her obedience
skills, but she's a sweet, friendly dog who's settling in to our
household nicely.

They're alike in many ways -- both "blue" (actually sort of charcoal
gray), with similar faces. Amy has a poodle-type coat which is soft
and fluffy but has to be clipped several times a year. Kay's coat is
coarse and straight but requires no clipping, thank heavens (although
I do keep her "beard" trimmed because otherwise she drips water all
over the house after every drink).

One odd coincidence is that both dogs are *fiends* for any kind of
bread. I can keep meat on the counter to defrost, but bread I have to
put out of reach or in the fridge, or it's history (I almost said
"toast," but toast is a *good* outcome for bread <g>). Are other
Labradoodles bread freaks too, or did I just wind up with an odd pair?

Janet
