Molly, my 8-month-old labradoodle, has started to vocalize in the last
month or so. It is not a bark or a growl, but something like a growling
yawn. It is sometimes punctuated by a little bark. It often occurs when
she is playing with a chew toy or I'll hear it when she is in her crate.
She even did it once when she was sleeping.
It is very playful, and makes all of us smile. I'm not sure whether to
ignore it or respond to it because what might be a cute behavior today
could be obnoxious in a few years.
Does your doodle talk to you?
