Thanks everyone for the kind words. It really does help. Rex is
getting used to his new self. He is already climbs stairs and is
getting around quite well. I was surprised yesterday morning when
he jumped on my bed to wake me up!

He is wearing T-shirts to protect the incision....seeing as he is my
baby, I went to the store and bought him some new ones....he is
stylin' in sponge bob and other assorted cartoon characters!

He is kind af "antsy" and whines but really does not want anything
other than attention ....I thought he was in pain but the vet has
him on a fentyal pacth and oral meds besides (prettry heavy duty
stuff) so he thinks that Rex is just looking for
reassurance....which is OK, he was a "high maintenence" baby prior
to the accident so I guess that does not change :)

My husband still feels horrible. He knows that he should have put
Rex in the house or tie him up. We have a couple of acres to mow
and Rex was having fun running around....so my husband thought he
was being a good dog daddy by letting him run around. He never
considered that Rex would try to play with the mower, which is how
he got too close.

I will posat some pix of Rex in his new T-shirt...he still is a
pretty baby to me :)
