You are right on the money! It is not a wise idea to leave a dog outside
when he is home alone~ so many dangers!

Subject: Re: [labradoodles] Electric Fence Question

Please keep in mind that an electric fence may keep Max in your yard, but it
won't keep him safe in your yard. It makes it very easy for someone to come
onto your property and take him. And it will not keep out any stray animals
that may be in your area... dogs or others. And even the well trained dog
will cross the electric fence line when given enough temptation.

I figure I will get blasted for this response, but please realize that I am
looking at this from a different perspective than most people. I train
service dogs and I treat each of these dogs as if someone in a wheelchair
has been waiting years for this special animal to help gain back some of
their independence. It just wouldn't be worth the risk for me. Just give the
idea some real thought.

Hi to all. We are looking into do it yourself electric fencing for the
backyard. Can someone recommend a reputable do it yourself system? My
hubby found a few on Ebay, but I like want to know something about them
before we buy. When we are at work, Max is outside on a runner, and is
wearing a nasty muddy path in the yard. Plus, I want him to have more
room to roam. Any help is appreciated.
