Have you heard of the book The dog listener from the UK. Jan Fennell. I am
using her method with great success. Ignore and do not look them in the eye and
do not speak. Turn your back on to them when they keep pushing you. This is
your first line of approach. Tell strangers to not look them in the eye and
totally ignore them. The dog will eventually come to the stranger and they
still need to ignore the dog. Downplay the whole thing. Never get angry. You
have much more effect on them with ignoring.
If dogs are aggressive that means a lot of the time they think they are the
leader and need to protect you or they are anxious because they feel they have
to be the leader and they cannot cope. When you reunite with your dog wait 5
minutes before you great them.

Hi I have a 7 month old F1 Labradoodle called Harvey. His training is
going okay at the moment apart from jumping up on people in the house
and outside as well. When he is in the house we try lifting our knee to
his chest which eventually stops him.But when he is outside and off the
lead he will jump up on anyone wether it be a toddler or an adult, which
can be frightening for them as you can imagine. Also if anyone comes
into the house he jumps all over them. Can anyone give me advice on how
to stop this please.
