I'm pleased to announce that we've just enabled self-registration at labsconsole.wikimedia.org.
Since Gerrit uses the same authentication as labsconsole, this also means that it's no longer necessary to request an account for developer access. Additionally, it means that anyone can create an account to edit the labs documentation as well. We still have a restriction for getting shell access to Labs instances. Once a user creates an account, they can request shell access < https://labsconsole.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:FormEdit/Shell_Access_Request >. Now that Labs allows self-registration, it is also no longer considered beta. Enjoy! - Ryan Lane
