Hi,
When is the decision to approve/not approve this lab request expected?

  My impression/preliminary investigation suggests that

A) SDO DataGraph will fit neatly and naturally into navigational model
of JPA ORM implementations.

B) Attempt for a ground-up persistence service for SDO is a difficult
task (current JPA solutions took many years to mature)

C) Mapping SDO type systems to Java type systems is relatively low
complexity given they use similar metaphors.

D) Once SDO Types can be mapped to Java types, existing JPA/ORM
solutions can do the 'heavy lifting' of RDBMS persistence.

My preliminary work on this area used Tuscany SDO (a wrapper over EMF
Ecore) and OpenJPA (which I am involved with).
I am encouraged by this preliminary results to request for this lab and
bring more focus to OpenJPA and SDO persistence.
