It might be a downside, but to be honest integrating the scripts you have with the overall asf sites would be really cool and infra or site-dev would be the correct place to do that. Having it a as a lab will give it external visibility, but are the scripts really applicable beyond the asf? I'm willing to help try and get an automated setup working somewhere under the pages on people.a.o (the main site, not your ~ section). If you're interested let me know :-) Of course, I should really also spend the ime to correct some of the issues with those pages anyways...
