Also, I notice your use of Stax... and you're the one that alerted Solr to the issue. Solr switched to Geronimo API + Woodstox.
even better would be to replace the solr integration with solrj -- that would get rid of XML generation all together.
Not sure if it is worth doing now, or wait for the imminent solr release...
