Recently there was some discussions on GIT@ASF again. it seems that GIT is already working "somehow", but still there are many questions unclear. Therefore CoachDB has become some kind of "experimental playground", to see for example how community development etc work. http://couchdb.apache.org/community/code.html
Recently I thought if Labs wouldn't be a very good place to use for doing some GIT experiments too? Projects are tiny, community is small, it might be a good place to work on the different questions which come with GIT. In addition this would probably help with Labs visibility and make it more attractive.
