Hi,
my name is Sergio Fernández, I work as Senior Researcher for Salzburg
Research, where right we're incubating Apache Marmotta.
Some months ago I've started an experiment, called piy, about using yaml
for writing pom files. Further details and code at github:

The initial prototype has been written in Python, but could be easily
translated to Java if required. But that's not so important. What I'd
like to do is to discuss and explore if this approach is valid, useful
and suitable for other people. And since the Maven TLP could be also
represented in Labs Labs, I think here is the right place to start this
discussion.
Therefore I'd like to move piy into Apache Labs and examine possible
synergies with other people.
