I got the overlocker I'd promised myself on Wednesday evening. It's
absolutely amazing how many things you can find to overlock!!! One of the
best toys I've had in years.

I tried a few out in a local shop and was quite happy with the feel of all
of them. So I decided to go for the only one stocked by Argos (a catalogue
shop), a Toyota, purely because if I didn't get on with it I could return it
for a full refund within 14 days with no questions asked. That model was the
same price everywhere and it seems to do all I'll want it to. I think it's
also one of the cheapest overlockers you can get. But then I had a look on
the internet and found the same model thirty four pounds cheaper with no
delivery charges, and it only happened to be from a supplier a few miles
down the coast. So I ordered on line by credit card at about 4 pm on Friday.
It was delivered by courier at 6 pm Wednesday.

I spent Thursday examining it and watching the instruction video three
times, and used it for the first time on Friday. Now I've got 4 blind-hemmed
T-shirts that no longer come down to my knees, new gussets in some knickers,
an overlocked cover cloth with Border Collie dogs printed on it, some of my
boxer type knickers with lace inserts (combined overlock and ordinary sewing
machine), and some frayed towels used for drying the dog no longer frayed -
and that's having only had it since Wednesday evening.

It takes 4 reels of thread, and what's supplied with it won't last forever,
but fortunately on ebay there were some 'Buy it now' lots of 12 reels of
overlocker threads in any choice of colours - I couldn't find any in shops
locally. So I bought 24 reels in 4 reels each of 6 colours. That'll keep me
going for quite a while because the novelty will wear off soon and I won't
be looking for things to overlock.

Should have had one years ago.
