Dear T,

This is going both to you and to lace-chat; hope you get it both
times ... <G>

I have seen the messages you mentioned sending to chat and not
receiving ("But my posting on books has never shown up on *my*
screen (some 30 hrs later)... Nor has my joke (posted to chat
tonight) about how difficult it is to learn English... ") - they
were included in my chat digests.

If there are web sites which cause trouble when printed, then
rather than keeping trying (and keeping on crashing) you might
like an alternative - suggest to Danek that he installs a screen
capture program for you. This lets you copy the appearance of
the screen into a picture file, from whence you can print it,
save it, e-mail it ... just like any other picture. I use one
called Screen Thief, and I love it, but there are lots around. I
don't know what's available for the Mac, but there will be some.

Love the Rankin stories - born and brought up in Edinburgh;
visiting there once a month these days; I read the Rankin books
with a map of the city in one hand to check out the locations. I
find I know the places by sight although not by name, so it's
very educational.  <G>

Love,
Margery.

======================================
Don't expect to see this message on the chat but, if one of you
felt
moved to respond and send the response to both -- me personally
*and*
chat, I might be a bit reassured if it were to show twice (funny
how I
used to hate getting the same message twice <g>)
