Carrying on from the mugwumps, my 15 year old daughter has come up with what appears to be a problem for the teenagers round here - the new dictionary that has just been published contains all of the words they have been using, including those "invented" in the last year. This apparently means that they will have to come up with some totally new words (or new meanings to words no longer in use). My oldest dictionary is the 1940's Pocket Oxford which I inherited from an aunt - and most of the words in that are still in use.
