I'm wondering if anyone could help with information about when they might be ripe. Or should I just take a bite out of one? We're in Vermont, USA with a short growing season.
As a native "kiwi" I suggest you leave them on the vine until they drop, if at all possible. If not, when the weather gets too cold, I suggest you pick them, and then put them in a bowl with apples and they will ripen up from there. They should be about 2" long at least for home grown ones... DEFINATELY DO NOT BITE THEM BEFORE THEY ARE RIPE!!!!! They do soften a bit when they are fully ripe too, just as a guide. :-) To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace-chat [EMAIL PROTECTED]
