Dear Maxine, Tamara, and Lacemakers,

(snip) Has anyone tried any of the pieces from "The Bird Fancier's Delight" on a real bird? When I discovered these pieces, I loved them at once and learned all of them as quickly as I could, (they're for sopranino recorder). I've never had the opportunity to play them for a modern pet bird, let alone the birds they were written for, despite always being curious. Best wishes, Linda Walton, (in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, U.K., wondering whether the Mozart-loving cockatiel likes "The Magic Flute").
