The mention of Band-Aid allergies reminds me of the time one of my brothers was having trouble with a spot on his arm, which he covered with a band-aid. It did not seem to be going away for a long time, and he was worried about what it might be. Eventually I thought to mention to him that I had had trouble with band-aid adhesive irritating my skin sometimes, leaving a red, itchy patch. Then he realized that it was mostly square, like the band-aids (square with a small gauze dot) he was using. He took the band-aid off, left the spot alone for a couple of weeks, and it went away entirely.
