It's a bit like leggins - lycra or spandex - they look fabulous on young thin girls but are only ever worn by large, old, fat women. Hipster trousers are again designed for young, thin, things - however they are being worn by chubby girls who think having a tummy hanging over their belts with their belly button pierced looks 'really cool' as I was told. Other half once said that a good rule of thumb was 'just because it fits, doesn't mean to say you should wear it'. Seems even the young can get it really wrong.
