I didn't make myself very clear. I'm only fed up with sellers descriptions
of lace items on ebay, insofar as I can't be bothered to contact sellers and
put them right. Most people on Arachne who are interested now look for
themselves, and know what they want to buy and what they don't, regardless
of the description. The really quirky ones, I'll still flag up.

I was going to mention the 'Romany' pillow, but it slipped my mind because
DH and I are tearing our hair over the situation with MIL (81) being in a
residential home due to Alzheimers and her husband (84)having got the point
where he just couldn't cope with looking after her even with help. SIL wants
her moved to another home near where she lives because her friend works
there so it must be good - we've already contacted all the homes in the area
and there are no vacancies (in fact there are waiting lists), but she still
thinks she can get her into one. She doesn't believe that her mother's
condition will get worse, in fact she thinks she'll get better. She also
doesn't think that her parents will ever die - even at 56 she can't imagine
life without them. FIL now wants his wife home again because he's lonely,
and has forgotten the state he'd got into which made him decide that she had
to go into a home. DH and SIL have power of attorney over MILs financial
affairs, but because SIL can't get to meetings with banks, etc because she
has a yoga class or something similar, DH is dealing with that side on his
own. DH signed the contract for the home - SIL now says she'll pull MIL out
as soon as she finds another place even if it means forfeiting the 1800
pounds deposit and causing DH to break the contract. We're beginning to
wonder if we're the only sane, logical ones who are facing facts.

I'm so glad I'm an orphan.
