I was interested to read that one of things that was changed to make a more
interesting film - rather than a documentary - was to bring in opposition
from the Women's Institute, (W.I.), County administration, who - in fact -
supported the calendar idea.

However, I remember that when the news came out about the calendar in the
W.I. where I was a member at that time, the reaction was very mixed.  Some
laughed and supported the idea, some were horrified at what they saw as the
immorality of naked bodies, many weren't too fussed either way.

Probably typical of the world at large here.  I'm really looking forward to
seeing the film, especially after Jean's review, and I'm also looking
forward to hearing about the reactions of my friends who are still W.I.
members.
