I returned home last evening, having had my knee replacement operation on Thursday last week to over a hundred emails in lace and lace-chat.
Just worked my way through Chat, now to start on Lace. The op went extremely well. If I'd known how good it was nowadays I wouldn't have put it off - only 6 days and I can take weight on it, bend it more than 90 degrees, straighten it, walk on crutches and have little/no pain. I took my travel pillow into hospital with me, but only mananged a couple of inches of insertion - I wasn't there for recreation. The staff and other patients were absolutely fascinated, but the universal reaction was "I wouldn't have the patience to do that."
