Hi,

Tie it just like a regular tie -- except -- the very last step where the
tie end is tucked into the knot and pulled down -- don't tuck it in.  Just
let it fall over the top of the knot.  That lets the top part flare out a
bit instead of being held snug in the knot.

Put 'cravat' in your search engine, and you'll probably get loads of pages
with it illustrated.  Or 'tie a cravat'.
