Hi everyone and Sharon

I noticed that e-mails from both our lists would come up in google
searches I was doing - the first time was when I went looking for info on
Punto Fiandra and there was a message from someone on the lace list, at
the top of the picks. Now that the lists are archived on the public site,
it means we're part of the big wide web, even though we have to subscribe
to write to the list. WE also get the messages right away - once the lists
are archived (maybe Avital can add something here) then they really are
'out there'. Yes our e-mail addresses are blocked in one place in the
archive, but there is also a link to a live address. I found one of my
messages that way, and followed the link...

At first I was dismayed, but I realize that it is usual - I've googled for
other things and been able to tap into other message lists. There are some
good ones for plants, none that I want to participate in, but I'm grateful
for the information and to be able to read the discussion.

In a way this is very good for lace - because our topics are now 'out
there.'
