I have enjoyed this month's package immensely. The map of NZ on the tea towel had place names I am familiar with. A couple of the people where I work went to NZ and sent back long descriptive emails of their adventures. I certainly hope your daughter's roller skating team makes it to World Championships, we could definitely have a face to face meeting in Fresno. I spent most of the weekends of my adolescence at the roller rink. It would be very exciting to watch a competition.
When I opened your package tonight, my husband was impatient for me to open the various wrapped items. I was trying to read your note, but he couldn't wait for me to rip open the wrappings. When he saw the painted bobbin, he said that now he has to make me a display case and that I better get used to the idea of displaying a collection of bobbins. We laughed when we saw the NZ pen on a lanyard. I don't think I've owned a pen for longer than a week without at least misplacing it, if not losing it outright. Maybe I can't lose one on a rope!
Thanks for the lift. Today was a bittersweet farewell to the job I used to do. Theoretically I got a promotion, but I miss the job I did before. Anyway, your package came at a very opportune moment.
Blissfully enjoying the surprises,
Patty Dowden
