This was going to be my next question. As it will be about next October by
the time I finish my hearts lace edging I shall be just in time to hunt
round the stores for some material to match. :-)
Serendipity :) You could also check around quilting stores -- both in "real life" and on the web -- those tend to have paterns (including spider ones) more or less round the clock. It would help, I think, to have the fabric first -- might affect your choice of colours for the lace
BTW congratulations on achieving "BL Editor" of IOLI
That "c-word" is spelt: "commiserations" <g> I'd have been sending patterns there anyway, since they now have colour. But, having to send them to a deadline, *and* having to write *articles* (also to a deadline)... Scares me rigid, besides making me feel like the biggest fraud ever... Thankfully, the title is somewhat misleading (don't like "titles", either)... I won't be doing any *editing*; all that's expected of me is to provide 3 articles and 1 pattern a year (and, maybe, I can get away with reversing the ratio <g>)
We'll see how things go...
I'm sure as a result the membership will increase (by at least one from this neck of the woods at any rate) :-)
New members are always welcome, "with open arms" <g>; the more of us there are, the merrier the Bulletin will be (and the better the chances we'll continue with colour). Just don't forget to tell them you're subscribing because *I* puffed it up so -- I might get a free subscription out of it some day :)
Of course, at the moment, the IOLI membership is a "solid investment" for anyone abroad -- I doubt the dollar can sink much further; surely, our credit (and our credibility) *must* have "bottomed out", by now?
