Made one just last night, but I put carob chips and frozen raspberries in it, so it wasn't a *blanc* mange. And I didn't have any vanilla, but it doesn't seem to miss it. (In the US, a blancmange is a cornstarch pudding with nothing in it but cornstarch, milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla.
