The lunch-time buffets at Chinese restaurants around here offer few desserts, most often jello cubes and ice cream, or an uninteresting milk pudding, usually chocolate. My favourite calls itself 'the best Chinese buffet in town.' Besides the standard jello and pineapple cubes, you can help yourself to a square of cool, gelled coconut milk. It goes down well after a plateful of healthy stir-fry. Once every ten years I buy a honey bun from a bakery in Chinatown - they are overly sweet, fantastically light, and totally decadent. -- bye for now Bev in Sooke, BC (west coast of Canada) Cdn. floral bobbins www.woodhavenbobbins.com To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace-chat [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
