As I've said in the past, DH meets up with friends of similar age (the Last
of the Summer Wine crowd) at a coffee stall on the shore in Poole. The owner
of the coffee stall closed for two months to go off to Thailand - he goes
there or to the Phillipines every year over Christmas, and no-one hears from
him or can track him, until he re-opens the stall. So we've got to wait
until 20th January to see if he opens the stall to find out if he's OK. Very
worrying.

We've seen some terrible film/video of what's happened and what's currently
going on there. Absolutely heartbreaking.

Whenever I see this, famine in Africa, people injured because of war, and
all the other terrible things that happen to innocent people, I am so glad I
live in a safe country and feel very fortunate to live in the luxury that we
do compared with them.
