Some people have such a way with words that as you read their writings,
you feel like you are conversing with an old friend.  Peggy Noonan is
that kind of writer.  I have read her articles for years now, and each
time I feel richer because of it.   Her piece on our present disaster is
no exception.  It's one of those things that you read and say, I wish I
had said that!

Let me warn you, a registration may be required.  These days she writes
columns for the Wall Street Journal.  It's been so long since I started
reading her column that I don't remember. If you would like, email me

As on 9/11, I do not have anyone in my close circle of family or friends
who was involved in this event, but still I feel personally affected by
it.  Perhaps it is because we all are.
