Poole's Edinburgh Woollen Mill shop moved into the High Street temporarily
about 18 months ago, and it's likely to be there for a further 18 months. It
used to be in the Poole Pottery shop complex until the pottery was relocated
to the outskirts of the town when the quay was redeveloped into luxury
apartments. The development company went bust and it's taken a a lot of
legal wrangling to get it started again under a different company. The Poole
Pottery shop has still been trading on the original site, selling seconds at
inflated prices to the tourists as it always did, and the other shops will
move back to the site when the development's finished.
