No need to give up hoping yet.
My recent "great auntship" to twin girls was from dad aged 40 and mum aged
45. They were married (both for the second time) when they were both over
30, and have been trying for a family for several years. They had at least
two goes at IVF in the UK, only one resulted in a pregnancy which
miscarried. Their final attempt at IVF, which took place in South Africa
(they're a doctor and a dentist so could easily afford private treatment
anywhere) and resulted in the twin girls.
I haven't seen my nephew for many years, and have never met this wife. From
what I remember of him, I could never have imagined him being a father. He's
the son of my younger brother. My older brother says he hasn't changed from
when I last saw him. My older brother says that, because of his looks,
interests and mannerisms and never having seen Martin and Jeremy Clarkson in
the same room together, he and his son are convinced they're the same
person. (Don't think anyone outside the UK will know who Jeremy Clarkson
is - a schoolboy in an adult body who presents TV programmes and whose only
interest seems to be fast cars).
So there's still hope Tamara.
