i just suggested that they carry books on the subject of bobbinlace. i
don't really know enough about the books to suggest one, but i agree i
surely woulnd't suggest the amy dawson book. that is the one i used
from the library to learn from, and the library conveniently got rid of
it. i am sure once i do a inter-library loan a few times, there will
be a new bobbin lace book on the shelf permenently at my library.

which 3 books should i borrow that covers the basic equipment,
stitches, and prickings? one of them will be in bedfordshire lace
because i love bedford lace, but what other two books should i request?
i don't want to request what books i already own, and i only own 3
books. one of them i hate because they don't have anything resembling
what bobbin lace is supposed to look like featured. it has great
instructions, but no prickings that i like to practice on.

i made the request to "hobby lobby" and anther local tennessee hobby
store chain, but i forgot their name. i'll have to look it up and send
it later.
