I feel sooo clever... :)
At some point last night, "something happened"; one minute I was
responding to messages via Reply without any problem, the next the
option to "send" had disappeared; all that was left was "cancel,
minimise, maximise", in a very narrow band on top...
The contrary beast being a Mac, which always offers "more than one way
to skin the cat", I managed to finish off the evening's correspondence
by bypassing - delete, no, save. From Drafts, I could send as usual,
though it required two clicks to "raise" the message -- doable, but
annoying, especially when one's short of time... But it was so late, I
wasn't about to argue.
Today, I switched the SOB on with the light of battle in my
bespectacled eyes... There *had* to have been something I'd done to
trim off the whole row (send, attach, addressbook, etc) of options, and
I was gonna find out what it was or die trying :)
Eventually, I did find the "culprit button" - at the other end of the
narrow bar, and playing possum (no colour to it, which, usually,
indicates its uavailability to be engaged on the particular screen). I
smacked it, and it opened up all my previous options. Then, calmly,
turned (almost) invisible again, the sly so-and-so.
I feel pleased with *myself* but, really... Pox on technology...
