Oh Jean it sounds horrendous, I hope it gets sorted soon.
Now for my own rant!
On Tuesday morning I ordered a trolly full of groceries from tesco.com,
which was to have been delivered between 7:00pm - 9:00pm. By 10:00pm
it still hadn't arrived so I phoned the number on the confirmation
email only to be told by someone (in India?) with such a heavy accent
that I had to ask him to repeat every other word, that *I'd* cancelled
the order. I certainly had not. However, he did give me the local
store's phone number and that was answered by the night manager who had
only just started his shift. He'd been told that several orders had
been cancelled that evening but that everyone had been informed. Well
I wasn't informed! I had been using the landline for a while, but the
mobile didn't ring, there were no missed calls and I've not receieved
an email other than the original order "confirmation"
This morning I phoned the store again and spoke to a woman who didn't
seem to take too much notice of what I was telling her, she said she'd
look into it and phone me back. I've been out and about all day so I
stressed that she should phone my mobile number. Three hours later I'd
received no return call so I tried phoning them again and the call
wasn't answered! I'm now composing the letter to store manager etc.
Anyone know the name & address of Tesco's chief exec?
Ok, the money hasn't gone out of the bank account, and we didn't
starve, but I did have to have toast for breakfast as there wasn't
enough milk in the fridge for cereals (and the local corner shop
doesn't sell skimmed milk). If you order groceries on-line and want to
be sure that they will be delivered when they say they will be don't
bother with tesco.com.
