(in Poland, my other half - Jewish on the maternal line - would have been blamed for everything, even if there was no evidence. Particualrly if there was no evidence. Evidence was anathema. US seems to have arrived at the same point of view - blame someone, based on prejudice - 50 yrs later. For once, US is 50 yrs behind Poland and not the other way around. Let's cheer)
