For those who are interested, today is the 80th birthday of Michael Bond, the creator of Paddington Bear. Michael Bond was filmed at Paddington Station where he said Paddington's inate courtesy and habit of lifting his hat politely came from Michael's father. A little girl, interviewed as she left a play (musical, I think) said he made "marmite" sandwiches and came from Paddington Bear Station. :-)
