I was watching a travel program called "FastTrack" on BBC World yesterday.
They did a story on "Couch Surfing". This is a service which helps people who want to travel cheaply by matching them up to people who are willing to host someone on their couch. Has anyone on this list done some "couch surfing"?
There are also "Groups" that have similar interests, but I couldn't find a group of lacemakers.
