My all-time favourite author is Terry Pratchett. As a humourist and
satirist there's none better. I don't often read mainstream books but my
preferred genre,sci-fi, is getting a bit scarce. The next favourite author
has to be J.K. Rowling. With these two authors we always buy both hardcover
books and the audio versions. I love audio books, we have several hundred.
It's so nice to be read to sleep every night. Instead of having your mind
race away thinking of stuff you have to do the next day, or worrying about
other things, you can focus yourself on a well read book.
I'm just in the process of thinning out our books, I've got over 800 so far
that are being donated to the "friends of the library". This is something I
never thought I'd ever do (get rid of books) but every room has a bookcase
and they're beginning to spill all over. Of course, I'm not getting rid of
