I'm not sure everyone knows I'm moving from the Boston Area to Silicon Valley, CA. I am. I'd like to ask you a favor. Could you keep your ears open and you hear that someone is trying to get in touch with me during the next three weeks to a month, please let them know the following: My new address is: Laurie Hughes 1151 Shenandoah Drive Sunnyvale, CA 94087 It would be super cool if you could announce it at your lace meetings or put it in your newsletters if you have any. My cell phone number is the one to use (as I'm keeping it until I'm no longer IOLI Membership Chair) and my email will remain the same. I'm going to go off line for perhaps as much as three weeks as the packers come tomorrow and we may not get our belongings until May 7th. I may have access to email through my husband's laptop, but I wouldn't count on much time for that. Mostly this impacts people trying to contact me about IOLI issues. Membership cards and renewal notices will be sent after that date. This is what we've arranged. Several Board members will have the database. Physical records will travel with me. I've transferred the membership database to my husband's computer, so it's already in CA. I've forwarded my mail as of last Friday and as of Monday, there has been no more mail delivered. The mail is being held at Sunnyvale. I hope that this move helps straighten out some of the postal problems I've been having in Framingham (long delays in the delivery of mail (It does not normally take two months for a letter to go from Canada to Massachusetts but it frequently does in Framingham) and (the very worst) lost mail). FYI - Framingham is the place where they found several truck loads of mail in a pond. I'm very hopeful about Sunnyvale. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
