Exactly the same as I said had happened to me - mine was very dark brown and now it's almost black. Anyone know why dark hair darkens as the years go by?

A problem I also noticed several years ago with different medication. Again, anyone know why medication should cause a perm not to take - hair's just a length of protein and it's dead. Only the root bit producing the keratin is live, and a perm works by chemically softening the links holding the protein chains together so those on the inside of the wind around the curler are squashed and on the outside stretched, so that a bend results when the hair dries.
