Thanks! And thanks to Alice, who also sent the "one-click" URL (smaller, but not a Tiny):

The spindles are, sure-as-sure, *weird*... I'd be inclined to say "WTF", but I realise that my recent indoctrination into the dem-blogs and their language (not always polite <g>) is not likely to be acceptable here. Especially while Avital is away and cannot "sort us out" :)

Regarding the Tinies... I am unable to be creative when it comes to things like "item number" on E-Bay or anything else that's 'puter-search-related. But I've had *years* of training in the "follow the leader" area (first 23.5, to be exact), so detailed instructions are a snap. A properly copied URL -- even a veeeeery long one -- doesn't seem to be a problem for my Mac; I can reach it without any trouble. But, when I used to have a PC it was something else. Today, even PCs can join a 3-line URL and reach it at a single click, but, for those who want to make the world easy for the owners of the *older* PC... :)

When you have a mile-long URL, such as the one quoted by Malvary, and you want to Tiny it:

1) Highlight the entire URL (on my machine, hit Shift and keep moving the mouse till the *whole address* is covered with whatever colour your system chooses) 2) Use Control key and C (copy) key, simultaneously, to "capture" the address. At this point, I minimize the screen, because I do not trust the machine; my (uneducated) belief is: "once it's gone, it's gone" 3) Bring up the Tiny's URL (I have it bookmarked, with other "sine qua non" URLs):
    http://tinyurl.com/
4) Position your cursor at the beginning of the box which says "make Tiny URL") 5) Hit "Control" and "V" (paste) keys simultaneously, to transfer the long URL into the box. Hit "Make Tiny" key.
6) Highlight and "capture" the Tiny version (see #s 1 & 2)
7) Start your e-message and paste in (see #5) the new -- Tiny -- "captive URL" into it.

Actually, it's easier to do than to describe, which is always the case for me, especially when I try to document a new pattern for IOLI. But, learning how to "translate" a long URL into a Tiny was well-worth the effort, even though, by the time I learnt, most puters didn't need it. But, my geek-son was *greatly impressed* by my ability to do it... :) If there's a better way to "validate" a mother as a -- continuing -- "superiour icon" to her children, I don't know it <g>
