Carol very glad to hear that you are recovered from your op and hope
the backache has now gone. What a good idea to hand out cards - I've
occasionally demonstrated but never thought of that and have always
wondered if the enthusiasm the participants showed ever came to
anything.
I also like the idea floated earlier of having three snakes on a large
round pillow, so several people could have a go at once. So often when
someone else is using the "have a go" pillow a child has wanted to try
but couldn't wait long enough.
The very first time I demonstrated I took a Torchon bookmark, as I
thought I didn't want anything too complicated that needed
concentration, unfortunately I had underestimated the time needed to
complete the bookmark and halfway through the afternoon found I was
running out of bookmark, so spent the remainder of the time undoing a
couple of inches, re-working the bookmark, undoing, re-working, etc.
No-one commented that at times it was getting smaller rather than
larger, so either they were too polite or maybe nobody really did
notice.
