It is raining here in Tartu & I'm stuck at home on antibiotics for
Whooping Cough which I caught from my eldest son. I found
out on Thursday night that 3 American students from Texas
came here in July to help with "English Camp" & when they
got home were diagnosed with this infectious disease. It is
hard to know that you have caught it, as it starts as a cold
but the cough just doesn't go away & slowly gets worse.

Anyway, I've just read "Bella Tuscany" by Frances Mayes &
loved it. I borrowed it from the Tartu City Library, but I'm very
disappointed that the first book "Under a Tuscan Sun" is not
in the catalogue. Interestingly both books have been translated
into the Estonian language.

Does anyone have the first book, & doesn't want it any more, &
would be willing to donate it to a library? E-mail me privately.

Meanwhile, I'm going back to bed to read a novel that Frances
Mayes wrote.
