A mistake for "Cash name *tapes*". It's a brand name of a company that weaves the names into the tapes instead of printing them on -- so the names not only don't wash out, the tapes outlast the garments they are sewn to.
There used to be mail-order firms who would import them from some place in Great Britain -- and gave rather fast service considering that they had to be made and shipped after the importer got enough orders to make a shipment. Since one has to buy a hundred at a time, I still have plenty even though they are no longer available in the U.S.
