I wouldn't get many questions about New Zealand or Australia right -
particularly, I don't think many people in the UK know the capital of
Australia.
To illustrate that some people can't get facts about their own country
right. Returning to the twitty American detective featured in the Yellow
pages ad on TV, where he refers to the "Isle of Wijit", while pointing to
Northern Ireland, the Royal Mail issued a set ot stamps to commemorate St
George's day on Monday. They had been issued to Post Offices ready for
Monday, but they've had to recall them because the first class stamp is
accompanied by picture of The Needles which has the caption "Isle of White"
instead of the correct spelling "Isle of Wight". Could explain why so much
mail goes missing if the Royal Mail doesn't know the correct spelling of
places.
