I made my mom cry one year by sending her to a local spa for an massage. I
also arranged with the spa to have a bouquet of flowers on the table for
her. She truly loved it. She is a florist and nobody ever gives her flowers.
I was surprised how inexpensive it can be (ran less than $100) Check out
some of the local spas to your mom. Many have special mother's day packages
and deals. Check out Craigslist in her area. Many therapists and spas
advertise there.

Another fun thing to do (we prefer to give experiences rather than hard
gifts) is to check out local English tea houses if you have any in your area
(look in the phone book or online) Mom and I had a wonderful day one year
having high tea and just enjoying being together. Just time together having
fun and enjoying the mother/daughter bond was wonderful. I wish I did not
live so far away and could do something like this every year with her.

Good luck and don't forget the best gift of all. A huge hug and a warm
thanks for the wonderful gift of life that she gave you.
