On Monday evening the BBC broadcast a TV programme about elderly people and
how they feel about how they are treated. It showed up a lot about how many
donlt care about them and think they have nothing to offer. The progamme
makers got about 40 of them (mostly in their 80s and 90s) int the Abbey Road
Studios to make a recording and video of The Who's "My Generation". Most
hadn't heard the song at all before they got to the studios. The CD is on
sale, with any profit going to charity, and the 4 minute video is on
Youtube.

The lady near the end on the keyboiard is 99, the soloist and chap pushing
over the drums is 90 and the man at the end giving the finger is 100.
I found it quite uplifting. Let's hope sufficient "youngsters" see it and
realise that it's only the body that gets old.
